Bright Hands runs two five-resident assisted living homes in Montgomery County, Maryland - one in Silver Spring, one in Montgomery Village. Familiar caregivers, real cooking, and the calm of an actual house. Both are OHCQ Level 3 licensed.
I run this home personally.
"I'm not an administrator who stops in once a week. I pass the medications, I'm there at dinner, and when a resident's up at 2 a.m., so am I. You don't get that at a place with sixty beds."
I spent more than ten years in Maryland senior care - big facilities, small homes, all of it - before I opened this one. I wanted the place I'd put my own mother in.
So I keep the team small on purpose - the same few faces week to week, people you and your parent come to know by name, not a rotating cast of aides.
When you tour, it's me walking you through - the kitchen, the living room, whoever's around that afternoon. Ask me anything.
What five residents lets us do.
With five residents, the day gets shaped around each person. Some live here for years. Some come for a few weeks after a hospital stay. Sometimes it's a husband and wife who want to stay together. The home stays the same while the care changes.

Bigger places quote a low base rate, then add charges as your parent needs more help. Ours is one all-in number, set after we've seen what your parent actually needs - with no line items stacked on later.
